← Back to SEE RecruitmentSEE Recruitment is a free careers-introduction service that connects hazardous-area engineers with employers. It is operated as part of the Saving Energy Consultants Limited engineering ecosystem. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why.
Who is responsible for your data
Enquiries about your data, or requests to exercise your rights, can be sent to darren@tempestmedia.co.uk.
What we collect
- From engineers: the details you choose to send us by email - typically your name, contact details, discipline, hazardous-area and Ex01-04 qualification status, and the CV or work history you attach.
- From employers: your name, organisation, contact details and the role information you send us.
- Website usage: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser type and timestamps) kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry.
- To match engineers with suitable roles and make introductions.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Introductions and sharing
We make our living by introducing people, not by selling data. An engineer’s details are only shared with a specific employer for a specific role with that engineer’s agreement. We do not sell personal data or build third-party marketing lists.
Lawful basis (UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests - operating the introduction service, responding to enquiries, and keeping the site secure.
- Consent - where you ask us to keep your CV on file so we can consider you for future roles. You can withdraw this at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your details only for as long as needed to provide the service - for example, while you wish to remain registered for introductions. You can ask us to delete your details at any time and we will do so, subject to any records we must keep for legal reasons.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact darren@tempestmedia.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Processors we rely on
Our email and web hosting providers process data on our behalf to deliver messages and serve this website. They act under their own data-protection obligations.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new date above.
